“Anchorage” Service Level

Our traditional hourly/project fee financial planning and advising service.

  • Fee schedule with fees dependent on project type, scope, and complexity
  • Specific client engagements end upon project completion which can include a “check-in” meeting to see how things are going
  • Additional engagements or follow-on projects are scheduled on an “as available” basis
  • No ongoing client relationship (but we welcome clients back subject to planner availability)
  • Tax preparation services may be available for Anchorage clients

 

“Pierside” Service Level

Our unique retainer/subscription service plan – Your "One-Stop Shop" for Financial Services 

  • Annual service schedule including tax return preparation and discounts on estate planning work for Pierside clients plus concierge services as needed
  • "Concierge" type financial services that goes beyond typical financial planning 
  • Safe Harbor guarantees planner availability for work needed during engagement period
  • Subscription fee pays for planner calls, emails, and serviced provided during the year
  • Client commits to one-year term of service with reasonable quarterly payments based on the complexity of their financial situation

We are fee-only financial planners who serve clients throughout Northern Virginia as well as in Rhode Island with our holistic approach that does not focus solely on investments or retirement savings. Safe Harbor's fee only financial advisors serve clients in Fairfax County, Prince William County, Stafford County, Alexandria, Arlington, and Loudoun County from our main office in Occoquan either in person or virtually.  We also offer Safe Harbor fee-only financial services to clients in the Newport, Rhode Island area from our satellite office in Portsmouth, RI. Our approach, charging an hourly or project fee for our services, with the option of a retainer/subscription fee program for clients who want to establish an ongoing relationship with Safe Harbor, is very different from most other financial planners. We also offer a service option for our clients that provides very low cost professional investment management in a collaborative relationship between Safe Harbor and First Ascent Asset Management. As members of the nationwide Garrett Planning Network of fee-only financial planners we act as a fiduciary for our clients, which means we must work only in the client's best interest and avoid any conflicts of interest. One other difference with Safe Harbor is that our fee schedule is available right on this website so there are no surprises and no hidden fees.
